Activities developed

The Flexible, Resilient and Intelligent Energy Delivery Systems Laboratory (FRIENDS Lab) was founded in 2017 under the coordination of prof. Vitor Hugo Ferreira. This research group belongs to the Electrical Engineering Department and it has also professors and students from different fields such as Power Systems, Industrial Engineering, Telecommunications and Computation. The team was been working with Computational Intelligence Applications and Decision Support Systems, working on the following fields: computational intelligence, machine learning, analytics, time-series analysis and forecasting, asset management, fault diagnosis, maintenance planning, optimization and smart grids.
